Op. Dr. Yusuf Acar
Dr. Yusuf Acar was born in Adana in 1980. After attending primary and secondary school in Adana, Dr. Yusuf Acar graduated from Hacı Ahmet Atıl High School. In the same year, he started his education at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine. He received the title of medical doctor in 2005. In the same year, he started his residency at Dicle University Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery A.B.D. During his residency, he worked intensively on reconstructive microsurgery, which is his special interest. Dr. Yusuf Acar, who continued his studies especially on ischemia-reperfusion injury, published his study titled “A Comparison of the Effects of Epidural and Spinal Anesthesia with Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury on the Rat Transverse Rectus Abdominus Musculocutaneous Flap” in 2013 in Annals of Plastic Surgery, one of the world’s prestigious journals.
In 2007-2008, he did a surgeon rotation at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery A.B.D. in order to increase his knowledge and experience. After receiving the title of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery specialist, he did his compulsory service in Zonguldak Atatürk State Hospital between 2011-2013. Dr. Yusuf Acar, who worked in Mersin State Hospital and Mersin City Hospital between 2013-2020, respectively, worked in Ümraniye Training and Research Hospital for a short time in 2020 and started working in his private clinic since October 2020.
Dr. Yusuf Acar is married and has a daughter and a son. His hobbies include tennis, hiking, swimming, reading, cycling and motorcycle riding. Dr. Yusuf Acar is a member of the Turkish Medical Association.
